Finding ROI in Asset Management

Prior to working with E-ISG, the IT Maintenance spending of one of our customers, a large multi-national law film, was increasing in a periodic rate each year and the projected budget was always exceeded by a percentage each year.

After the inventory, we correlated the accounting records within our consolidated data framework, which consists of Visual Asset Manager and our unique data mining of accounting and maintenance records.

We were able to show that the increase in actual spending was due in fact, to purchasing maintenance and software licenses on equipment the firm used to, but no longer owns.

The actual budget dropped significantly once this fact was uncovered and was projected to be underspent in early 2007. (see Fig. 1 above).
